Apple 2

Back to my smooth sketchbook pages, the Prismacolor pencils worked great.
This was done using the Prismacolor Water Soluble graphite pencil, Pigma Micron 02 pen, and of course the waterbrush.
These pencils are different from the Cretacolor Aquamonolith, but after yesterday's drawing with them on Stonehenge, the PM pencils do work just as well I think as the Cretacolor - but I do prefer (much prefer) the smooth sketchbook paper. This sketchbook is a blank book from Barnes & Noble, 6" x 9" size.

I am really enjoying seeing your drawings here! Each version of the apple is fantastic! And I love the little birds.

Nicely done apple. So sorry to hear about your fall. Thank goodness no broken bones. Take it easy and heal up. Hope you feel better soon!

Nicely done! The apple shines! Your EDM post was the happiest little description of a fall I've ever read!

I am sorry to hear about the fall Deborah, and I really wish that you'd be a lot more careful next time. I agree that the falls always get harder as your age climbs. I noticed that my bruises don't go away as easily as I was when I was a teen, and sprained ankles take twice as long to heal...
Anyhow, love the apple, I think it's simply beautifully drawn.

Oh dear, so sorry to hear of your fall - these things shake one up a bit. Glad you are resting and recovering. Good to have time to sketch tho'!

One of the few things I know is that a sprain can be worse than a break. I know you'll watch carefully, do everything the doc says, keep elevated and off of it, and ice ice ice. Compliments to your sister's good care, and your positive attitude. Your apple is proof of that - it's beautifully shaded.

Ouch! I agree with your age comment plus a few years. Maybe you needed time to sit and draw. Enjoy having others wait on you.

nicely done apple! You managed to convey the shininess and the color variances of the skin as well. Hope you feel better soon. What better way to spend your 'down time' than sketching!?
