Ahhhh, Saturdays...I slept late, sat quietly watching Modern Marvels on the History Channel, then turned off the tv, read 1 John and Jude in the Scriptures, and sketched the birds - all while enjoying cup after cup of coffee. Bliss, pure bliss!

Great job on the birds! Tried to draw monkeys once (turned out to be parts of monkeys because they move so much). So I appreciate how quick you have to be to do this.

I love your scripture flowers. I really love it when scripture becomes art. I have been doing a art journal that blends scripture with various types of art. I have enjoyed the freedom that this kind of art allows-- I have found it's even more creative than just painting a picture. I wondered why God was leading me in this direction and I found out this Sunday. I taught my kids Sunday school class out of one of my scripture pieces from my art journal. The kids loved it and were very attentive. Never know where God will lead.
