A Snowy Saturday

Snow falling - expecting about a foot! Beautiful little Juncos at the bird feeder this morning.
Their little bellies are the exact white of the snow. Amazing!

Afternoon tea and a good book.

Love the birds! I really like watching them hopping around...totally makes my day!
And the afternoon tea drawing is beautiful too... I could sense the relaxed mood there ^^
Thanks for your wishes and your comments.

Love those juncos! I like how you have them at all different angles, and how you capture the shapes without dealing too much with the detail. Well done!

Both of these are amazing! You're still using the graphite wash? You inspired me to dig mine out and play with it. I had forgotten how neat they could be!

I really like the bird study sketches - they are delightful. It sounds a delightful way to spend a snowy Saturday

They are both fantastic drawings, but I am pulled to the tea cup and all the shadows and highlights. Good work.

Both drawings are really great. I find birds a bit tricky, but you've really captured their essence! nancy

You are doing just great with these black and white drawings. They have such a different feel than your color work - a different style.
