Thanks for your comment Shirley - I used Caran d'Ache Neocolor II watercolor crayons on the book and pitcher sketches and gouache on the rooster. I read somewhere (I can't find the source now and it's driving me crazy!) that Moleskine sketchbooks, the original not watercolor, were made for gouache -that is what the old masters used. The paper accepts gouache very easily. You can use watercolor and I have if you apply it more thickly and use less water.

These are fun spreads. Are you able to use watercolors on these pages in the Moleskine sketchbook? Any secrets?
