Such a beautiful day yesterday - spent with my aunt, my 2 sisters, and my mom.
We ate lunch at The Artist's Cafe in Newton. These flowers were on every table and they are REAL!
This lunchtime sketch is extra special because it's a memoir of a beautiful day with family.

It's really lovely! I like the bottles and the way you have cropped the flowers!
Love it and glad to hear you had such a wonderful day!
What a perfect way to seal a great memory. Excellent!

I love it when restaurants have real flowers on the tables, especially in the spring. Very nice post and wonderful little painting! nancy
Just beautiful! Love to see the flowers heralding spring...no better thing to sketch!
Love the colors!!! Such a productive lunch that is. I wish I have that kind of patience to do something similar...I always eat quick and leave quick...like I am rushing or something. I should really learn to enjoy food and life ^^
What fun to have lunch with family, real flowers and time to sketch in your journal. Sound like a great way to pass an afternoon! I love the looseness of your painting here too especially for the area outside the vases.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
i love days like that and now you have something to remember it by.
Love the loose strokes in the purple flower especially! Nice job!
Wonderful sketch of a wonderful day!
Lovely ! I like the rendition of glass on the vase !
This is so beautiful. It should be on a greeting card.
I love going out to lunch, and the fact that you can sit and sketch while with family is amazing. Its shows they support you and don't demand that you entertain them, but allow you to enjoy yourself too. That in itself is a gift. Thank you for sharing. I am making a dessert tonight which I plan on posting later tomorrow with lots of pictures. Thanks for sharing your day with us.
Your sketch made me smile, thank you. It really is very good.
This is so wonderful- lovely, loose, colorful. Real flowers are always such a nice touch at a restaurant.
